About Me
 |
I live with my husband, and three daughters in a town outside of Boston, Massachusetts. We share our lives with a gentle Golden Retriever named Charlotte (after Charlotte’s Web). We also care for many foster kittens for the MSPCA (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We fatten motherless kittens up, teach them how to trust and to love and then we bring the kittens back to the shelter for adoption. It is truly a blessing to have been loved by at least a hundred kittens. Some of the kittens are very literary and like to climb on my keyboard. Sometimes they add their thoughts to my manuscripts. jjjjpppppppppppppppppppp pppppppxxxxxxxxxxxx

I loved to read when I was in elementary school. My writing then mainly consisted of report and letter writing and the occasional “What I Did on My Summer Vacation,” essay. I wanted to be a writer or a teacher when I grew up. Eventually, I became an elementary school teacher. I loved teaching, but there was always a part of me that wanted to help to bring peace to children and the world.
While raising my three children I decided to learn how to write. I think stories are the way we pass on wisdom in our society and I wanted to add another positive voice for children. I know that I will always have something to learn about writing and I like that. It makes life interesting.
When I’m not writing or caring for my children, I spend my time working to make a more loving and peaceful world. I play with children in homeless and in domestic violence shelters. Sometimes we don’t even speak the same language, but we all know how to communicate in kindness, laughter and fun.
